Fatih Terim responds to Hacıosmanoğlu on 'accountability'

We are talking about a half-century of accumulated knowledge... Let us focus on the problems of Turkish football and not waste time on these matters! I request it. Let us not waste time on these matters. Think of it this way, I am talking about something much bigger. Let us look at these questions: what happened, what should have happened, and what will happen. Let us not stay here, let us move past these things.”

The controversy that has been unfolding in recent days began with the following statement made by Fatih Terim after the Australia match:

"My request to our people is; please, accountability can always be demanded, but throughout the tournament, let us be a bit more tolerant, a bit more loving, and a bit more forgiving of mistakes. Don't kill us, that is!"

Following these remarks, TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu gave a response directly targeting Terim, stating, “Who are you going to demand accountability from? It did not suit Fatih Terim's stance and wisdom. At least say who you are going to demand accountability from. That is why I could not find it fitting for him at all."
