Fatih Terim reunites with the player he wanted for Galatasaray 11 years later

Experienced manager Fatih Terim has officially signed with the Greek club Panathinaikos and begun his new role. During the first training session held in Athens today, Terim reunited after 11 years with Serbian footballer Djuricic, who was once on Galatasaray's transfer list.

"I AM FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SEA"

After parting ways with Galatasaray about 2 years ago, Fatih Terim signed with the Greek team Panathinaikos and traveled to Athens to officially begin his new job. Arriving in Athens today following yesterday's official announcement, Terim said in a statement at the airport, "I am from the other side of the sea. I am happy to be here. My wife will also join me, and we will start a new life. Panathinaikos has not been champion for a very long time. Wherever I go, I go to win. The signatures I put down are not just on paper; they come from my heart," he said.

According to a report by Hürriyet, it is stated that Fatih Terim will earn 900 thousand euros per year at Panathinaikos, and it was noted that this transfer has caused a stir in the Greek press. Additionally, it was reported that Terim, who was brought in to fill the vacancy left by Jovanovic's departure, will receive the same salary that Jovanovic was earning.

On the other hand, Fatih Terim and Serbian footballer Djuricic, whom Galatasaray tried to transfer during the 2012/13 season, came together in Athens 11 years later. After detailing Djuricic's experiences at various clubs throughout his football career, the performance the Serbian footballer has shown this season in a Panathinaikos jersey was also highlighted. It was noted that Djuricic has contributed to his team by scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists in the 22 matches he has played for Panathinaikos.
