Fenerbahçe Beko becomes the final team to reach the semi-finals

In the third game of the Turkish Insurance Basketball Super League play-off quarter-final series, Fenerbahçe Beko defeated their guests Türk Telekom 101-94 to win the series 2-1.

Starting the match with baskets from Hanlan and Alexander, Türk Telekom led 7-3 at the 2-minute mark. Scoring from the free-throw line with Guduric, Fenerbahçe Beko equalized in the 3rd minute: 7-7. Sharing the ball well to find points, the yellow-navy team finished the 8th minute with an 18-13 lead. While both teams used the paint effectively in the final part of the quarter, the home team closed the first period ahead 23-20.
The second quarter began with baskets from both sides, and Türk Telekom took the lead as the 12th minute ended with a three-pointer from İsmet Akpınar: 27-29. While the Ankara representative stayed in the game with shots from behind the three-point line, Fenerbahçe Beko produced points from the paint. Responding to the yellow-navy team's baskets from their guards with Brown's effective play, Türk Telekom finished the 19th minute with a 49-47 lead. In the balanced match, the teams headed to the locker room tied at 51-51 following a last-second basket by the visitors' player, Angola.

Struggling to find their tempo on offense against Fenerbahçe Beko, Türk Telekom produced points with Alexander to gain a 6-point advantage in the 25th minute: 55-61. With the support of their fans, the yellow-navy team went on a 10-0 run to bring the score to 65-61 in the 27th minute. In this quarter, where the lead changed hands frequently, the visiting team found success with outside shots and finished the 29th minute leading 72-70. Fenerbahçe Beko equalized with points from Baldwin, who did not miss from the free-throw line, and the third period ended in a 72-72 tie.
Türk Telekom made a good start to the final period with baskets from the paint. Finding easy points against a Fenerbahçe Beko side struggling to find their rhythm on offense, the Ankara representative led 88-84 at the 36th minute. The yellow-navy team had difficulty stopping Makoundou under the basket in this period. Following consecutive turnovers by the visiting team, Fenerbahçe took the lead with 2 minutes remaining: 92-91. Against a Türk Telekom side that could not capitalize on second-chance opportunities, the home team scored under the basket with Sertaç Şanlı to enter the final 41 seconds leading 95-94. After a timeout, Fenerbahçe scored with Guduric against a Türk Telekom side that committed another turnover, extending the lead to 3 points with 27 seconds left: 97-94. Making no mistakes in the final stretch, the yellow-navy team won the match 101-94.
