Fenerbahçe breaks Galatasaray's record
Having scored 128 goals in 48 matches this season, Fenerbahçe has broken the record for the most goals scored in a single season, previously held by their arch-rivals Galatasaray.
Fenerbahçe continued its title race by defeating Adana Demirspor 4-2 at home in the 31st week of the Süper Lig.
The Yellow-Navies have reached the highest number of goals scored by a Turkish team in a single season across all competitions, netting 128 goals.
According to a report by Sabah Gazetesi; Fenerbahçe reached this tally in 48 matches, while the record was previously held by the 1999-2000 Galatasaray side and the 2022-23 Fenerbahçe team, both of which scored 126 goals in 56 matches each.
The Canaries, who also hold the record for the most goals scored in a single Süper Lig season with 103 goals in the 1988-89 season, have thus earned the title of the Turkish team to have scored the most goals across all competitions.
