Fenerbahçe brings new signing to Istanbul at midnight
Dorgeles Nene, who has been on Fenerbahçe's agenda for a long time, landed in Istanbul at midnight. It has been learned that the yellow-navy blues have reached a happy ending in the transfer following negotiations with Salzburg.
Fenerbahçe, which started the Trendyol Super League with 1 point and will face Benfica in the UEFA Champions League play-off round this week, has made a flash move in the transfer market.
The yellow-navy blues, who have had very active days during the transfer window, had been maintaining contacts for Malian winger Dorgeles Nene, who has been playing for Salzburg for some time.
Fenerbahçe Football Director Devin Özek went to Munich, Germany, last Sunday and then moved on to Salzburg to sit at the table with the Austrian team. After intense negotiations, the parties shook hands.
Having reached an agreement with both the club and the player, Fenerbahçe made the transfer official just hours before the Benfica test.
IN ISTANBUL AT MIDNIGHT
The 22-year-old Malian footballer landed at the Atatürk General Aviation Terminal by private jet around 02.00 at night. Nene, who did not make any statement at the airport, went to his hotel in a private vehicle arranged for him.

The young player is expected to undergo medical checks and sign the official contract shortly.
NENE'S CAREER
Transferring to Salzburg in 2021, Nene played on loan at different clubs until 2023. The winger, who produced 2 goals and 1 assist in the 10 matches he played this season, has performed with 22 goals and 14 assists in 87 matches during his Salzburg career.
