Fenerbahçe crowned champions of the Basketball Super League

The Fenerbahçe Men's Basketball Team hosted A. Efes in the third game of the Super League final series. While the first half of the match ended with a 36-33 lead for the hosts, they went on to win the game 80-72 after overtime.

The yellow-navy team, which last won the league title in 2022, has now added the trophy to their cabinet for the 11th time in total.

Fenerbahçe, having won their first Basketball Super League title in 1991, secured the championship this season following their previous titles in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2022.

Ali Koç, who was re-elected as president for the third time in the elections held on June 9, also followed the match from the sidelines.

CLOSED THE SEASON WITH A DOUBLE TROPHY

Jasikevicius's students, who took the trophy to their cabinet by defeating A. Efes (67-80) in the Turkish Cup Final this season, also succeeded in playing in the EuroLeague Final Four.

Fenerbahçe secured their second trophy of the season by establishing a 3-1 superiority over their opponent in the final series played against A. Efes in the Super League.

ONLY ONE DEFEAT

Fenerbahçe, which completed the regular season with 25 wins and 5 losses, passed Aliağa Petkim Spor 2-0 in the play-off quarter-finals and Beşiktaş 3-0 in the semi-final series. While the first 2 games of the final series were played at the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall, Fenerbahçe came home with a great advantage by winning the first match 85-74 and the second match 101-70.

The yellow-navy team lost the third match 82-81. The Canary became the champion by reaching its 3rd victory by winning 80-72 in front of its fans in the fourth match of the series.

Fenerbahçe's Lithuanian head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius experienced the joy of the championship in his first season at the helm of the yellow-navy team. The yellow-navy team, which started the season under the management of Greek head coach Dimitris Itoudis, brought Sarunas Jasikevicius to the head of the team in December after a poor run.
