Fenerbahçe defeats German opponent 87-76

The match began with baskets from both sides, and the 6th minute passed with the visiting team leading 10-9. Returning from a timeout with a 6-0 run, the German representative extended the lead to double digits (11-21) within the final minute and finished the first quarter ahead 21-13.

Starting the second quarter well, the yellow-navy team narrowed the gap to 4 points in the 11th minute with baskets from Guduric and Melli: 17-21. Reducing the deficit to 1 point (22-23) with Sertaç Şanlı's three-pointer in the 14th minute, Fenerbahçe Beko took the lead in the 15th minute with an outside shot from Colson: 25-23. Extending the lead to 6 points (29-23) with Birch's basket in the paint in the 17th minute, the yellow-navy team went into the locker room with a 35-30 advantage.

Facing a Fenerbahçe Beko side that started the second half with turnovers on offense, Bayern Munich leveled the score in the 23rd minute: 37-37. Scoring consecutively under the leadership of Hayes-Davis, the yellow-navy team increased the lead to 6 points in the 25th minute: 47-41. Fenerbahçe Beko entered the final period leading 67-58.

Starting the final quarter by extending the lead to double digits (69-58) with a basket from Hayes-Davis, Fenerbahçe Beko led 78-64 at the 35th minute. Not allowing their opponent to close the gap in the remaining time, the yellow-navy team left the court with an 87-76 victory.

Nigel Hayes-Davis, who recorded 25 points for Fenerbahçe Beko, played a key role in the win.
