Fenerbahçe fans in revolt! 'Ali Koç is president, Fenerbahçe is in ruins'
Fenerbahçe fans gathered at Kadıköy Yoğurtçu Park to call for the resignation of club president Ali Koç. Chants of "Ali Koç is president, Fenerbahçe is in ruins" were heard in Kadıköy.
Participation was limited in the march organized in Kadıköy by a small group of fans called "Until The Grave". Carrying banners reading "The real Fenerbahçe fans are here", "Ali Koç resign", and "Look what you have done to the great Fenerbahçe", the fans made their voices heard with chants of "Ali Koç is president, Fenerbahçe is in ruins".
During the protest, when some fans began chanting in favor of former president Aziz Yıldırım, a warning came from group leader Volkan Yücesan.
Yücesan calmed the fans by saying, "Friends, if you shout for Aziz Yıldırım here, we become his men. We are no one's men; we are Fenerbahçe fans."
During the protests, which took place under heavy security measures, harsh chants were also directed at Fenerbahçe Board Member Ahmet Ketenci.
