Fenerbahçe files official complaints against Galatasaray with 7 separate institutions

Fenerbahçe Board Member responsible for legal affairs, Fethi Pekin, made a statement regarding recent developments and the agenda surrounding Galatasaray Sports Club.

The statement, which calls on the relevant authorities to take action on behalf of Fenerbahçe Sports Club, included the following remarks:

"First and foremost, it is concerning that sufficient official steps have not been taken to satisfy the public in the face of developments that determine the agenda of all football fans and the public in our country. Today, a situation where justice remains so helpless despite the blatant occurrence of numerous illegalities one after another has never been experienced before in the history of Turkish football.

TURKISH FOOTBALL:

It is facing an approach that recognizes no law or justice, which is continuous and clear: an entity that sees every path as permissible to win both on and off the pitch, ignores rights and laws, unfairly gains financial and sporting advantages by violating fair competition, covers up its scandals with various guises while trampling on legal, moral, and ethical values, and while doing so brazenly, unfairly targets its rivals to cover up all its scandals.

The club in question is emboldened by the silence of the relevant authorities while openly displaying this entire approach.

Based on this entire agenda, and in light of these ignored reports, events, and revelations, we would like to draw the attention of our state's relevant authorities and the TFF to the following points:

AS ALLEGED IN THE PUBLIC EYE;

1. Does underreporting the salaries of some players and excluding them from spending limits to create unfair competition not lead to tax losses for our state?

2. Does the transfer of a large number of season tickets to a company under the guise of corporate sales, and then selling them to fans at prices far above their value, not violate the terms of financial restructuring? Furthermore, is the resulting income not illegal, and does it not lead to tax evasion and unfair gain?

3. Is placing an advertisement for an illegal betting company on the jersey in a veiled manner not a blatant disregard for our country's laws?

Instead of defending and explaining the allegations of illegal acts circulating, using the 'the thief is louder than the homeowner' approach to cite the completely legal sponsors of our club and many Anatolian clubs as precedents is making a mockery of people's intelligence.

As always, both our state is being harmed and attempts are being made to harm our other clubs. This mentality, which considers itself untouchable, thinks it is treating everyone like fools with its arrogant and condescending perspective, operating under the belief that 'nothing will happen to us anyway.'

As Fenerbahçe Sports Club, we call on all relevant individuals and institutions to take action so that Turkish football, which represents the rights and labor of millions, can be cleansed of these wrongs, the injustice on and off the pitch can be resolved, and every unethical step can be held accountable before the law.

We would like to state that we will follow up to the end on the applications and complaints we have made to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance (Tax Inspection Board), the Capital Markets Board (SPK), the Spor Toto Organization Presidency, the Banks Association of Turkey, and the TFF regarding this matter. Our expectation from our state is that the necessary legal steps be taken as soon as possible and that the issues we have mentioned above be examined in detail and the public be informed.

Justice is the order of society. Where there is no justice, it is impossible for anything to be in accordance with rights and laws, or for sporting competition to take place under equal conditions. Unfair competition, both sporting and economic, should no longer be permitted, and silence should not be maintained while further harm is done to Turkish football."
