Fenerbahçe High Council meeting begins: Harsh words from Şekip Mosturoğlu!
The Fenerbahçe Ordinary High Council Meeting has begun at the Faruk Ilgaz Facilities. The meeting, attended by President Ali Koç, Şekip Mosturoğlu, and council members, will review the activity reports of the board of directors and the supervisory board.
The Fenerbahçe Ordinary High Council Meeting is being held at the Fenerbahçe Sports Club Faruk Ilgaz Facilities. The meeting was attended by Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Ali Koç, High Council President Şekip Mosturoğlu, and members of the Council. The meeting began with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem.
During today's meeting, the board of directors' activity report and the supervisory board's activity reports will be read. Discussions will be held regarding the reports of the Fenerbahçe Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board.
Stating that May 3rd is the date when Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk first visited the club, Mosturoğlu said, "As Turkey's largest non-governmental organization that follows in Atatürk's footsteps, we celebrate this date as the founding day of our club. It will be the 118th anniversary of our founding. I hope that both our club and the Turkey of Atatürk, whose path we follow, will remain forever."

Emphasizing that the amateur branches have had a successful season, Mosturoğlu stated, "Our amateur branches are leaving behind another successful season, as has become classic. I congratulate the branch captains, responsible managers, and athletes of all branches."
"WE HAVE NOT BEEN CHAMPIONS FOR 10 SEASONS"
Saying that Fenerbahçe has fallen below expectations in football, Şekip Mosturoğlu said, "Our football team caused us great disappointment last weekend. We experienced an unexpected loss of points in the Kayserispor match, where we were the absolute favorites, and our championship chances have diminished. We have not been champions for 10 consecutive seasons. I believe we need to discuss the negative situation we are experiencing in football, taking into account the reactions and sensitivities of the community."
Emphasizing that Fenerbahçe fans put Fenerbahçe at the center of their lives, Mosturoğlu continued:
"We are passionately attached to Fenerbahçe, independent of sporting results. There is a very important saying that Mr. Aziz Yıldırım shouted in the Metris dungeons; we live to say 'I am a Fenerbahçe fan' for one more day in our lives. We breathe to be a Fenerbahçe fan for one more day. From this perspective, Fenerbahçe is much more valuable to us than sporting results and trophies.
However, we must know how to take responsibility and make statements worthy of responsible people to the millions of fans and our children whom we have disappointed in football. Fenerbahçe is resistance. Fenerbahçe fans do not accept losing. Therefore, our meeting today and the results that emerge from here must be in accordance with these high values."
Stating that the community's expectation for unity and solidarity was met during the election at the beginning of the season, Mosturoğlu said:
"Both our legendary president Aziz Yıldırım and our president Ali Koç heeded this expectation of our community without personal reservations. They wiped the slate clean regarding past grievances. The unity and solidarity expected by our community were achieved, and our internal front was fortified. We acted in total unity and solidarity in an environment created for the management to fight only against the external front.
Our fans also united in this sense. Whether away or at home, every time we fell behind in points or score, our fans supported the team by believing in them. The sporting result that has emerged in football today, which we never imagined, has caused justified criticism and reaction from our community. It is very important for unity and solidarity that our members express their sincere thoughts at the meeting to be held today, that these thoughts are discussed in a democratic environment, and that reasonable answers are given by our management."
"THIS MEETING IS OF HISTORICAL IMPORTANCE"
Stating that the Fenerbahçe Club High Council is the senate of the club, Mosturoğlu expressed that the members should be the voice of the community.
Underlining that all members should offer solution proposals that will be beneficial to the club, Mosturoğlu spoke as follows:
"Our management should also meet these proposals with maturity and respond to them. The constructive criticisms and suggestions to be put forward today, and the decisions our management will take in terms of management to lead our club to the success desired by all individuals in the community, will be for the future benefit of the club. The meeting held today is of historical importance. I hope and wish that the will we demonstrate today with our infinite love for Fenerbahçe will turn into positive energy as soon as possible, which will restore Fenerbahçe to its old glorious days in football. This is our most essential duty to ensure that future generations become Fenerbahçe fans."
