Fenerbahçe in the Women's EuroLeague final for the 3rd consecutive time
Fenerbahçe, having defeated ÇBK Mersin 89-80 in the Women's EuroLeague semi-final, has secured its place in the final. The yellow-navy team, which reached the championship last season, will play in the final for the 3rd consecutive time.
In the Women's EuroLeague semi-final hosted by Mersin, Turkish representatives Fenerbahçe and ÇBK Mersin faced off.
In the battle between the two teams, who are also playing in the ING Women's Super League Play-off final series, the winning side was Fenerbahçe.
In the competitive match, the yellow-navy team maintained their lead throughout the game and finished with an 89-80 victory.
In the other semi-final match, Villeneuve defeated USK Praha with a score of 84-78 to secure their ticket to the final.
Last season, at the Kralovka Arena in Czechia, Fenerbahçe defeated ÇBK Mersin 99-60 to reach the championship. The yellow-navy team had reached the final in the EuroLeague Final-Four they hosted in 2022, but lost to their Hungarian opponent Sopron.
With the final ticket secured today, Fenerbahçe has achieved this success for 3 consecutive seasons in this organization.
The yellow-navy team will take to the court for the championship against the French team Villeneuve d’Ascq LM on Sunday, April 14.
