Fenerbahçe nears completion of striker transfer

Fenerbahçe has turned its attention to the Saudi Pro League to strengthen its attacking line ahead of the new season. The yellow-navy blues have made significant progress in their transfer efforts for young forward Jhon Duran, who plays for Al-Nassr.

According to a report by Fabrizio Romano, the Al-Nassr club has responded positively to Fenerbahçe's offer and has indicated that they are ready to part ways with the player.

All eyes are now on the response from Jhon Duran, who will make the final decision.

Jhon Duran, who began his football career at the Colombian team Envigado, was promoted to the first team in 2019 at the age of just 15. Displaying impressive performances despite his young age, Duran transferred to the MLS side Chicago Fire in 2021.

Following his breakthrough in America, which opened the doors to Europe, Duran signed with Premier League club Aston Villa in the 2023 winter transfer window. However, after failing to find consistent playing time there, the striker transferred to the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr in January 2024 for a notable transfer fee of 77 million euros.

Still only 20 years old, Jhon Duran has appeared in 173 official matches in his professional club career to date, recording 49 goals and 11 assists.
