The images of the 35-year-old French national outside hitter smoking sparked controversy in a short time. Following these developments, the club management announced that they had parted ways with Ngapeth by mutual agreement.
The announcement made on Fenerbahçe Medicana's official social media account stated: "Information: Our contract with Earvin Ngapeth, an athlete of our Fenerbahçe Medicana Men's Volleyball Team, has been terminated by mutual agreement. We present this to the public's information."
Ngapeth, who wore the yellow-and-navy jersey for approximately one season, had previously been in the public eye at various times throughout his career. This latest incident served as the catalyst for the separation.
