Fenerbahçe responds to Dursun Özbek! 'We will make you regret it'

Fenerbahçe Sports Club has responded to the statements made by Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek the other day.

The following statements were used in the announcement made by the club;

"We are making this statement due to certain remarks made yesterday by Galatasaray Sports Club President Dursun Özbek regarding our club.

First and foremost, we would like to state that we do not expect Dursun Özbek or the current Galatasaray management to maintain competition within sportsmanlike or at least moral boundaries.

The culture of the aforementioned club is not based on sporting competition, but on favoritism, being protected and looked after, and receiving privileged treatment.

However, it is clear that no matter how much they are protected and looked after, this club holds a dubious position in the public conscience.

The fact that they can attempt to set up a new scheme against our glorious club by using FETÖ tactics and methods, nearly 13 years after July 3rd, is a legacy of their character from the past that remains today.

'WE DID NOT ERASE PLAYERS FROM POSTERS'

It is understood that Dursun Özbek is confusing which club was the direct target of FETÖ and which club tried to take advantage of this attack by,

"attempting to be propped up by prayers and charity."

We would like to remind this individual once again:

Throughout its glorious history, Fenerbahçe has never erased players from championship posters, nor has it had to remove footage from documentaries.

We must remind them because, in the way they know best; instead of facing their own shame and apologizing to society, they are, as they do in many matters, trying to systematically blame others for actions they are familiar with themselves through perception manipulation and lies.

For this reason, we do not view the words uttered yesterday as "nonsense" or "foolish statements," but rather as the flare of a deliberate trap.

'WE ARE CALLING OUT TO DURSUN ÖZBEK'

We are speaking out clearly here to everyone, especially Dursun Özbek, who thinks they can harm our Fenerbahçe with tricks they learned from a treacherous organization:

The fighting spirit and determination of our Fenerbahçe, which was the first to stand alone against the treacherous FETÖ organization with its community and thwarted their vile ambitions, continues just as it did on the first day.

As long as there are those who attempt such things, every member of this glorious community will not refrain from fighting against the perpetrators of these vile attacks today with the same ambition as on the first day, fueled by the resolve inherited from the past.

'WE WILL MAKE YOU REGRET IT'

We believe in sporting competition and sportsmanlike conduct to the end.

However, the DNA of our Club is formed by the fighting spirit of the War of Independence and the mission of upholding our national integrity and values even under the most difficult conditions.

With this powerful strength that comes from our DNA, we are determined to make those who harbor treacherous ambitions regret their actions.

WHAT DID DURSUN ÖZBEK SAY?

Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek, in his statement regarding Fenerbahçe, had said: "Go to Google; type in pineapple, prayer beads, incentives, match-fixing, friendly matches on a turf field, and see what comes up! As if these don't exist, as if I were the one who did them, these men come out and say things like Karagöz and Hacivat. I had said that the opposing team and the president of the opposing team are a project. They still maintain this identity. A piece of brotherly advice to them: don't bother in vain, the fire you are in will not be extinguished by blowing on it. Write this in your minds."
