The Super Cup Final, which was expected to be played between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray, had been postponed following the crisis in Riyadh.

The TFF, Fenerbahçe, and Galatasaray had previously issued a joint statement regarding the crisis. Fenerbahçe Sports Club has now made another statement concerning the situation.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM FENERBAHÇE

Stating that "the disruptions regarding the organization of the Super Cup final match are not limited to the non-acceptance of the two clubs' requests," the statement from Fenerbahçe is as follows:

"A brief update has become necessary regarding the agenda formed around the Super Cup final match, which was planned to be played on December 29, 2023, and the events that took place during this process.

First and foremost, we would like to state that we are deeply honored and happy to see that our nation has stood by us throughout this entire process. We extend our gratitude to everyone who gave us strength and support during this difficult time.

Our country, our Republic, our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and our nation are the supreme values of our Fenerbahçe, just as they are for all sports clubs in our country.

We hold these values above trophies, sporting competition, financial expectations, politics, and in short, above everything. The disruptions that occurred before the Super Cup final were due to our sensitivity regarding our non-negotiable values; there is no other reason or purpose beyond this.

It has surprised us that the agenda created by the cancellation of the Super Cup final was later dragged into a conflict environment filled with diplomacy, politics, and conspiracy theories.

This agenda has no relation to foreign policy, politics, or conspiracy theories.

"LEGAL PROCESS WILL BE INITIATED"

Our greatest desire is for the discussions that are being attempted to be carried out in the wrong lane in the public eye to end as soon as possible.

Reminding that sports should be kept away from politics; we invite everyone to act with common sense, without mixing sports and politics, and without making sports a tool for political competition.

We also want to specifically state that; the disruptions regarding the organization of the Super Cup final match are not limited to the non-acceptance of the two clubs' requests.

Furthermore, although the decision not to take the field was made by both clubs, we hereby inform the public that we will take legal action against those who share unrealistic, speculative statements and messages, and who put forward slanderous and false claims by targeting only our Club and our executives."
