Fenerbahçe made a striking post regarding the Galatasaray derby scheduled to be played on Sunday, April 7.

Sharing photos from the team's training session, the yellow-navy club used the statement: "We have started preparations for the Olympiacos match."

While Fenerbahçe's next match in the fixture is the Super Cup clash against Galatasaray on April 7, it drew attention that a post was made indicating preparations for the Olympiacos match on April 11.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The Fenerbahçe management had announced that if the Galatasaray derby to be played on April 7 was not moved to a suitable date and a foreign referee was not appointed for the match, they would take the field with their U19 team.

The Turkish Football Federation, however, rejected Fenerbahçe's demands by announcing first that the date of the match would not be changed, and later that Volkan Bayarslan had been appointed as the referee for the match.
