Fernando Muslera reaches the 500-match milestone for the 5th time

Galatasaray's experienced goalkeeper Fernando Muslera reached another milestone with the Hatayspor match played at home in the 31st week of the Süper Lig. Having guarded the yellow-reds' goal for many years, Muslera holds an important place in club history, both for the many successes he has shared with the team and for his personal achievements.

Fernando Muslera made his 500th official appearance in his Galatasaray career with the Hatay match. The Uruguayan goalkeeper has played 402 matches in the Süper Lig, 53 in the UEFA Champions League and its qualifiers, 21 in the Turkish Cup, 17 in the UEFA Europa League and its qualifiers, and 7 in the TFF Super Cup for the yellow-reds to date. Muslera also holds the title of the foreign player with the most official appearances for Galatasaray.

WON 15 TROPHIES

Transferring from the Italian team Lazio in 2011, Fernando Muslera wrote his name into club history by achieving many successes with Galatasaray. Muslera has won 15 trophies with the yellow-reds, including 6 in the Süper Lig, 5 in the TFF Super Cup, and 4 in the Turkish Cup. The 37-year-old goalkeeper stands as the foreign player who has won the most trophies with the Lions.

Before the Hatayspor match, the yellow-red players wore t-shirts specially prepared for Muslera's 500th match during warm-ups, and Head Coach Okan Buruk also wore one during his interview with the broadcaster.

Before the ceremony, Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek presented a plaque to Fernando Muslera.
