FIFA imposes transfer bans on Turkish clubs
FIFA has imposed a three-window transfer ban on two clubs from the Süper Lig and one from the 2. Lig due to financial disputes and regulatory non-compliance. It was stated that the bans could be lifted if the necessary obligations are met.
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has issued transfer bans to three clubs from Turkey.
In the list published by FIFA, it was announced that the registration of new players has been temporarily suspended for Trendyol Süper Lig teams Natura Dünyası Gençlerbirliği and Gaziantep FK, as well as MKE Ankaragücü, which competes in the Nesine 2. Lig.
The statement indicated that the clubs in question were subjected to sanctions due to "various violations such as financial disputes or non-compliance with regulations." It was reported that all three clubs have been handed a 3-window transfer ban.
It was noted that the temporary transfer bans imposed by FIFA can be lifted if the clubs fulfill their financial obligations and resolve the financial disputes they have with players.
