According to the report published by FIFA, Turkish clubs spent a total of 99 million Dollars in 2023. As a result of these expenditures, Turkey ranked third on the list of countries with the highest losses in the transfer market. While England took the first place with 1 billion 915 million Dollars, Saudi Arabia ranked second with 953 million Dollars, and the USA ranked fourth with a loss of 64 million Dollars.

The report also stated that Saudi Arabia entered the top three countries in the transfer market for the first time in its history with this expenditure. Among the countries that made a profit, Germany took the first place with 359 million Dollars, Italy was second with 264 million Dollars, Portugal was third with 253 million Dollars, Spain was fourth with 247 million Dollars, and the Netherlands was in fifth place with 211 million Dollars.

The report stated that all clubs broke a record by spending a total of 9 billion 630 million Dollars in 2023, emphasizing that this expenditure increased by 48 percent compared to 2022.

Finally, the report noted that the most preferred football players in transfers were Brazilian, Argentine, and French players.
