According to a report by Ekol TV, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu stated, "The news about my resignation is not true. We have set out on a path. I will not let this many people down. There is no possibility of such a thing."

Journalist Tahir Kum had claimed that TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu had decided to resign. In a post on his social media account, Kum announced the news by saying, "TFF President? Hacıosmanoğlu has decided to resign."
IT WAS CLAIMED THAT HACIOSMANOĞLU CALLED FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY MEETING
The report further alleged that Hacıosmanoğlu had called the TFF Board of Directors to an extraordinary meeting on Tuesday via a message sent to the WhatsApp group containing the board members during the day.
