First week matches in the UEFA Europa League have concluded
The first week of matches in the UEFA Europa League, which is being played in a league format with 36 teams this season, has been completed.
The first week of the 2024-2025 season of the UEFA Europa League, which will be played in a league format with 36 teams, has concluded. Among the Turkish representatives, Galatasaray defeated the Greek side PAOK 3-1 at home, while Fenerbahçe beat the Belgian team Union Saint-Gilloise 2-1 at home, with both teams starting the tournament with 3 points.

Another Turkish representative, Beşiktaş, was defeated 4-0 by Ajax in the Netherlands, suffering the most lopsided defeat of the first week.

Following the results, Ajax finished the first week of the UEFA Europa League in the lead. The Romanian team FCSB placed second, the Italian representative Lazio third, and the English team Tottenham fourth. Immediately following them, Galatasaray took the fifth spot in the league.
