Former ally hits out at Ali Koç's 'September congress' decision!

Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç has decided to hold the presidential elections in September, following the team's failure to achieve the expected success this season and the resulting increase in criticism. However, this decision has led to differing opinions within the club.

Metin Sipahioğlu, one of the former board members, stated in a post on social media that it would be more appropriate to hold the elections in June. Sipahioğlu said, "In my opinion, a congress in September is too late. Planning will have been completed and the league will have started. This is the source of the unease in the community. According to the bylaws, if the Board wishes, we can hold a congress between June 7-14. Our congress should be in June, and the community needs to see the path ahead."

Metin Şen, who also served on the board during Ali Koç's first term as president, had previously made a similar call, expressing that holding the elections at an earlier date would be more beneficial for the club.

These debates within the Fenerbahçe community regarding the election date are seen as a significant turning point for the future of the club.
