Former Beşiktaş star bids farewell to football career

Miralem Pjanic, considered one of the names who left a mark in the eyes of football fans, has announced that he has ended his active football career. The successful midfielder stated that he made this decision to spend more time with his family. Having played for major clubs in Italy and Spain, Pjanic also wore the Beşiktaş jersey in Turkey following his performances at Juventus, Barcelona, and Roma.

Winning 9 trophies throughout his career, Pjanic became one of the names who left a mark on European football. Known especially for his game intelligence, passing quality, and leadership on the pitch, the experienced footballer also won the hearts of Beşiktaş fans.

The Bosnian star, who experienced a Turkish Super Cup victory during his short stint at Beşiktaş, most recently played for the Russian team CSKA Moscow. During transfer windows, clubs paid a total of 110 million euros in transfer fees for Pjanic.
