Former Trabzonspor president Mustafa Şamil Ekinci has passed away at the age of 83.
Mustafa Şamil Ekinci, one of the former presidents of Trabzonspor, has passed away at the age of 83. The burgundy-blue club released a condolence message following Ekinci's death.
In the statement made on the Black Sea team's official website, it was said, "We have learned with deep sorrow the news of the passing of our legendary president, former council board president, and former 2nd president Mustafa Şamil Ekinci, who brought our club 4 league championships, 2 Turkish Cups, 5 Presidential Cups, and 2 Prime Ministerial Cups during his 5-year presidency.
We wish God's mercy upon Ekinci and extend our condolences to his family, our community, and his loved ones."
