Galatasaray announces its decision on Mauro Icardi

According to a report by Sky Sports Germany, the contract of Mauro Icardi, who played a significant role in the championship titles of Galatasaray—the winner of the last three Trendyol Super Lig seasons—especially in the first two, is set to expire in June 2026. The Yellow-Reds have made their decision regarding the star footballer.

The Argentine footballer, who has recently recovered from his injury and is working to regain his form, wants to stay at the club. The Galatasaray management has decided that the star, Mauro Icardi, will remain with the team. The Yellow-Reds are preparing to hold initial talks regarding a contract extension with the 32-year-old striker.

It was stated that Galatasaray will not allow the player to sign a pre-contract with another club during the mid-season transfer window, given that his contract is set to expire at the end of the season.
