Galatasaray has announced that a moderate strain and bleeding have been detected in the ankle of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
Galatasaray has released an official statement regarding the health status of Victor Osimhen, who was injured during the 2026 World Cup Qualifier match between the Nigerian National Team and Rwanda.
In the club's update, it was stated that a moderate strain and bleeding were identified in the star footballer's ankle ligaments.
The official statement included the following:
“Following examinations conducted today at our sponsor hospital, our Football A Team player Victor Osimhen has been diagnosed with a moderate-grade sprain (strain and bleeding) in his ankle ligaments, and the necessary treatment has been initiated to ensure our player returns to the pitch as soon as possible.”
WHEN WILL OSIMHEN RETURN TO THE PITCH?
Galatasaray will be the guest of Eyüpspor in the Süper Lig this weekend. Meanwhile, the yellow-reds will face their first test in the UEFA Champions League away at Eintracht Frankfurt next week.
According to a report by TRT Spor, Osimhen is not expected to feature in the Eyüpspor match. However, the Galatasaray technical staff aims to have the striker ready for the Frankfurt encounter.
