Galatasaray calls on TFF to take action following Konyaspor defeat: 'You cannot stop us with these games'

TÜMOSAN Konyaspor defeated Galatasaray 2-0 at home in the 23rd week of the Trendyol Super League. Returning from the Konya away game without points, the yellow-red team suffered a critical blow in the championship race. Konyaspor, which had not won 3 points in 12 matches, broke this streak against Galatasaray, while Cimbom lost after 10 matches. The goals that brought victory to Konyaspor were scored by Adil Demirbağ in the 75th minute and Blaz Kramer in the 81st minute.

The goal scored by the yellow-red team in the 49th minute was disallowed following a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review. Starting the second half of the match quickly, Galatasaray found the goal through Leroy Sane in the 49th minute. Referee Atilla Karaoğlan pointed to the center circle for the position. After reviewing the position again upon the warning of Davut Dakul Çelik in the VAR room, Karaoğlan changed his decision, ruling that Sacha Boey, who was in an offside position, obstructed his opponent during the goal.

Regarding the disallowed goal, Galatasaray made a harsh statement on the social media platform X with the title, "You cannot stop Galatasaray with these games!"

The statement made by the yellow-red club included the following expressions:

"The disallowance of our team's legitimate goal in the T. Konyaspor-Galatasaray match, despite the clear provisions of the offside rule, is an unacceptable scandal for Turkish football.

This decision, made by the match referee and the so-called referee named Davut Dakul Çelik, the VAR referee whose fanatical support for the team we are competing against for the championship is well-established, has damaged not only the result of a single match but also the belief in the justice and reliability of the league.

We immediately call on the Turkish Football Federation, which is in a position of responsibility, primarily to protect the brand value of Turkish football and to prevent the usurpation of labor on the field, to take action.

We demand that the position in question be examined transparently and that the necessary administrative process regarding the VAR referee be initiated immediately.

You can disallow our goal by disregarding all the rules. We know very well what you are trying to do because you have done this before. Start preparing now to cancel our championship at the end of the season as well."
