Galatasaray commemorates former president Duygun Yarsuvat

Galatasaray Club has published a memorial message for the 2nd anniversary of the passing of its former president, Duygun Yarsuvat.

In the message posted on the yellow-red club's website, it was stated: "We commemorate with mercy and longing, on the second anniversary of his passing, the esteemed jurist, academic, and 35th President of Galatasaray Sports Club, Duygun Yarsuvat, who spent his life in service to Galatasaray and undertook important duties such as university rector, chairman of the council of trustees, and club president at Galatasaray, the cradle of education and sports."

Duygun Yarsuvat served as president at Galatasaray for approximately 7 months between October 2014 and May 2015. During Yarsuvat's tenure, the yellow-red football team became Super Lig and Turkish Cup champions, and the women's basketball team also reached the championship in the league.
