Galatasaray files criminal complaints against numerous individuals
Galatasaray Sports Club has announced that it has filed criminal complaints under various articles of the Turkish Penal Code against numerous individuals, including journalists, commentators, and various social media accounts, on the grounds that they have associated the club with illegal structures and false allegations on social media.

The yellow-reds have filed complaints against Ahmet Ercanlar, Ahmet Konanç, Turgay Demir, Ümit Özat, Rıdvan Aksu, Lube Ayar, Sarp Akkaya, Gökhan Özoğuz, Fatih Portakal, Murat Şeker, Serkan Gazioğlu, and 12 Numara.
"A LEGAL STRUGGLE PROCESS HAS BEEN INITIATED"
The full statement, which includes the phrase, "A comprehensive and determined legal struggle process has been initiated against individuals and groups attempting to consciously associate our club with criminal organizations, illegal activities, or unrealistic scenarios," is as follows:
"It is clearly seen that a systematic smear and slander campaign has been carried out recently by a gang-like team acting in an organized manner, primarily on social media and various other platforms, aimed at associating the name of Galatasaray Sports Club with illegal processes.
Throughout its deep-rooted history of over 120 years, Galatasaray Sports Club has never been associated with unlawful structures; on the contrary, it has viewed law, justice, and institutional reputation as its most fundamental values. Despite this, a comprehensive and determined legal struggle process has been initiated against individuals and groups attempting to consciously associate our club with criminal organizations, illegal activities, or unrealistic scenarios.

under Article 288 of the Turkish Penal Code (Attempting to Influence the Judiciary), Article 216 (Inciting the Public to Hatred and Hostility or Insulting), Article 217/A (Publicly Disseminating Misleading Information), and Article 220 (Establishing an Organization for the Purpose of Committing Crimes).
In line with new findings to be obtained, the criminal complaints will be followed up with determination in the coming days. Those slanderers who try to discredit our Club by bringing the words Galatasaray and match-fixing side by side will be held to account to the fullest extent within the framework of the rule of law.
We will fight one by one against those who target our Club and are responsible for organized posts and baseless claims aimed at misleading the public. All of these attempts to smear Galatasaray will be met one by one before the law, regardless of the person, title, or visibility.
Galatasaray Sports Club has not allowed any structure attempting to advance through slander, threats, or organized smear campaigns to pass before, and it will not do so in the future.
