According to a report in the Portuguese press outlet Record, Galatasaray wants to sign Rafa Silva, whose contract with Benfica is set to expire. It is stated that the yellow-reds have offered the 30-year-old attacking midfielder a 3-year contract with an annual salary of 3.5 million Euros.
The report notes that negotiations are ongoing with Galatasaray officials, and that the club aims to complete this transfer with the Champions League in mind for next season.
The Portuguese footballer, who has been playing for Benfica since 2016, has appeared in 44 matches this season, delivering an impressive performance with 18 goals and 14 assists. Having the best season of his career, Rafa Silva has contributed a total of 90 goals and 78 assists in 318 appearances in a Benfica jersey.
