Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek: 'Just as Mays have always been ours, this year will be ours too'

Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek made statements on the club's official website.

Özbek stated, "There is a saying embedded in the Turkish language; 'Mays are ours.' This was not said in vain. Since the year 2000, we have always said 'Mays are ours.' There is the 20.45 motto that President Adnan said in 2006. These are important things, they have settled into the Turkish lexicon. When you say the month of May, Galatasaray comes to mind. Just as Mays have always been ours, this year will be ours too. In 2023, the 23rd championship; in 2024, the 24th championship. Everyone should take out their flags and get them ready. God willing, we will fill all Galatasaray fans with joy on Sunday evening. We are extremely ready and motivated. We have given up on all the events we had planned. We are spending all our time with our technical staff and our player friends. Therefore, we will prove once again how big a club Galatasaray is and how important Mays are for Galatasaray. We will fill the fans with joy here as of Sunday evening. We will celebrate our championship together with all our fans, with enthusiasm and joy, in a way that befits Galatasaray.
