Galatasaray releases statement regarding Osimhen's injury
Galatasaray has announced that an MRI scan of Nigerian footballer Victor Osimhen revealed a moderate strain and bleeding in his left posterior muscle.
Victor Osimhen, who was injured during Nigeria's 2026 World Cup African Qualifiers match against the Democratic Republic of the Congo, underwent an MRI today.
In a statement regarding the matter on Galatasaray's official social media account, it was stated, "Our footballer Victor Osimhen's MRI examinations conducted today at our sponsor hospital, Acıbadem, revealed a moderate strain (stretching and bleeding) in his left posterior muscle, and his treatment has begun."
Meanwhile, it was noted that the MRI examinations for Kaan Ayhan, another player who sustained an injury while with the national team, will also be conducted this afternoon.
