Galatasaray's request for the Super Cup Final to be played in Turkey

The text, which the Divan Board decided to publish unanimously, included the following statements:

"As followers of Ali Sami Yen and his friends, who set out to advance our country in sports, we want the cup of the century to be played as the 100th-year 'Republic Cup' in the Turkish homeland, which our ancestors won and protected with their blood, lives, ideas, and wisdom. It is our desire that the Turkish youth, who are the children of Atatürk, watch the match on the lands they possess and that this sentiment be experienced by fans of any team, with a national consciousness, within the borders of the Republic of Turkey in the 100th year of our Republic. We propose that a certain portion of the stadium capacity be distributed under the authority of the Presidency, which is the constitutional guarantor of national unity and solidarity, to the relatives of those who were martyred for the homeland, veterans, representatives of the people in the region who were victims of the last major earthquake, our physicians, nurses and auxiliary staff, pharmacists, veterinarians, and dentists who served selflessly during the pandemic and in every disaster, Turkey's hard workers; miners, firefighters, and teachers, and our national athletes who have won medals in the Olympics or in world and European championships."
