Arda Turan reacts to Okan Buruk's comments! 'I am a Galatasaray fan, but...'

In the 14th week of the Süper Lig, league leaders Galatasaray drew 2-2 at home against Eyüpspor.

Galatasaray Manager Okan Buruk alleged in his post-match statement that the Eyüpspor players were not acting in good faith.

Buruk used the following expressions in his statement:

"I don't think our opponent was acting in good faith today. Many players stayed on the ground. Just as we were getting into a position, two people would go down. It was like that constantly. They can do whatever they want against you. Regardless of what they did, we should have scored the goal."

Buruk also took a jab at Berke Özer, who left his mark on the match with 12 saves:

"Berke also made important saves. Aside from the time-wasting, I congratulate him on his dives for the saves. Berke drank water 8 times on the sideline. He was constantly thirsty. The referee should have shown cards earlier. I congratulate him for his saves. We needed to score, but we couldn't."

Eyüpspor Manager Arda Turan, who returned from the challenging Galatasaray away game with 1 point, said the following after the match:

"You can play like this to beat Galatasaray here; there is no other way. That is why I congratulate my players from the bottom of my heart; they put up a magnificent fight. Thank God we came out of this club.

The training we received at this club was to do justice to the jersey we wear, to fight until the end in the most polite and honorable way possible. Because we are part of the Eyüpspor family, we earn our bread there. It is sad, but we will continue to stay on the pitch."

Continuing his remarks, Arda Turan responded to Okan Buruk as follows:

"Players can experience difficulties in these places. We know that Okan Ağabey is one of the greatest managers in Galatasaray's history. We are proud of him.

We tried to show the best intentions we could. There were 6 minutes of stoppage time. I am a Galatasaray fan, but I will not let my players hang their heads. Okan Ağabey did not say the right thing."
