Aziz Yıldırım meets with congress members: Clear message regarding candidacy

The extraordinary general assembly process at Fenerbahçe is heating up. Although the congress is officially scheduled to take place in September, the signature campaign launched to bring the process forward has become one of the hottest topics on the club's agenda.

While pressure continues for Aziz Yıldırım, who served as president for a long time and still holds significant support within the community, to run against Ali Koç again, Yıldırım has taken a notable step.

According to the report by Yusuf Dursun from Fanatik, Yıldırım did not turn down the persistent invitation from young congress members and met with them in Beykoz.

According to the information in the report, the young members openly offered Yıldırım the presidency during this meeting. It was stated that the members said, "Mr. President, take charge of the club. Make us happy again by bringing back our old successful days."

Yıldırım's response to these calls was clear. In the message he gave to the young people, he used the following expressions:

"As you know, I made my statement at the end of May. Do not expect anything from me at this stage. You, as young people, should step forward. Get organized, form an organization. Take ownership of Fenerbahçe as young people. Collecting signatures is your right."

Aziz Yıldırım did not completely close the door on a possible candidacy either. Yıldırım used the following expressions regarding his candidacy:

"It is not important for me to come. If there is public favor, I will come, but this would be short-term. I would apply a bandage and leave."
