Bilal Erdoğan, son of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, made statements during a live broadcast on A Haber.

Erdoğan, who has recently been the subject of claims that he would run for the Fenerbahçe presidency, broke his silence on the matter.

Denying the allegations, Bilal Erdoğan said the following:

"Believe me, I don't know where these reports come from. I have never dreamed of being a sports administrator in football. I am working on building a cultural identity. I dedicate most of my time to activities related to education. I think it would not suit me at all to neglect these important tasks if I were to spend my time on football administration.

I am fighting tooth and nail to get my own sons to support Fenerbahçe. I talk to students at school. Galatasaray jerseys, supporting Galatasaray, and so on. I tell the children, 'It's easy to support Galatasaray, come and support Fenerbahçe.'"

Emphasizing that Fenerbahçe fans have become 'starved for success,' Bilal Erdoğan stressed that he would not be a candidate and issued a notable call to the Yellow-Navy club's president, Ali Koç, without mentioning his name.

Stating that he wants Fenerbahçe to be managed better, Erdoğan noted the following:

"Fenerbahçe is the team I support. It is our President's team. We have become a fanbase starved for success. However, I am not a candidate for the Fenerbahçe presidency. Of course, I want Fenerbahçe to be managed better. Sports administration should not just be about partisanship; it needs to be discussed with common sense.
