WHEN ARE THE UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE PLAY-OFF ROUND SECOND-LEG MATCHES?

The second-leg matches will be played on Thursday, February 20.

The second-leg match between Galatasaray and AZ Alkmaar will begin in Istanbul at 20:45 Turkish time.

The second-leg match that Fenerbahçe will play against Anderlecht will begin at 23:00 Turkish time and will take place in Belgium.

NEW UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE FORMAT

In the UEFA Europa League, which is played according to a 36-team league format this season, the teams that finish in the top 8 after eight matches advance directly to the round of 16.

The 16 teams ranked between 9th and 24th will face each other in the play-off round to compete for a spot in the round of 16.

Teams that fail to finish in the top 24 in the standings will be eliminated from the tournament.

According to UEFA's new format, teams outside the top 8 are paired based on the points they have collected.

The teams in 9th and 10th place are paired with the teams in 23rd and 24th place via a draw.

Teams that finish the league phase in 11th and 12th place are paired with those in 21st and 22nd; those in 13th and 14th with those in 19th and 20th; and those finishing in 15th and 16th place advance to the play-off round by being paired with the teams in 17th and 18th place.

The draw for the UEFA Europa League round of 16 and subsequent stages will be held on February 21.

The play-off round matches will be played on February 13 and 20.

The round of 16 matches will be held on March 6 and 13.

The quarter-final matches will be on April 10 and 17,

And the semi-final matches will be played on May 1 and 8.

The final of the tournament will be held on May 21 at San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao, Spain.
