Galatasaray's 5th star pride to be celebrated in Yenikapı on May 25

The Galatasaray May ordinary Divan Board meeting was held at the Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex RAMS Park Özhan Canaydın Conference Hall.

Speaking at the meeting, Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek stated that they came together with members at the event they held in Kemerburgaz on May 19, saying, "We both commemorated our Ancestor and celebrated May 19, our championship, and our 5th star together. We opened our new facility for our members to visit, and they expressed their appreciation. We enjoyed being together. The saying 'Mays are ours' was primarily said for football. I am very happy that we have added our amateur branches to this saying in this period. Our wheelchair basketball team became the league champion first, then the Eurocup 1 champion. We continue to achieve success against very strong teams and budgets in volleyball. I believe that greater successes await us in the coming period. For example, our men's and women's water polo teams reached the league championship. Our teams in basketball youth development won championships in many age groups. We continue our championship and medal struggles in many amateur branches. I thank our teams that have won championships," he said.

Reminding that he said at the Divan Board meeting held 1 month ago that they would win the 25th championship in the Super League and wear the 5th star, President Özbek said, "Today, not only did we achieve this, but we also took the Turkish Cup to our museum. I would like to thank everyone who contributed, especially our coach Okan, our technical staff, our players, and all our staff who have a signature in this success. I also want to send a thank you to our fans who were with us all season. It is time to walk together for greater goals," he said.

Stating that the championship celebrations will be held in Yenikapı, Özbek concluded his words as follows:

"We planned to hold our championship celebration at the Yenikapı Meeting Area with the aim of turning it into a festival this year. We specifically chose 25.05.2025 as the date.
