Test results were positive: Call for resignation for Saadettin Saran

Fenerbahçe High Council Member Sait Yılmaz, in a statement made to the public, evaluated the situation regarding President Sadettin Saran, whose hair sample test result for cocaine came back positive.

Yılmaz stated that the ongoing process is harming Fenerbahçe and said that the management should make a decision for an extraordinary general assembly.

“FENERBAHÇE CANNOT BEAR THIS BURDEN”

In his statement calling for Sadettin Saran to resign, Sait Yılmaz emphasized that the process is a personal matter. Yılmaz said, “Fenerbahçe cannot bear this burden. Before the process causes any more harm to Fenerbahçe, he should leave his post as soon as possible, a decision for an extraordinary general assembly should be taken, and the path for the club should be cleared,” he stated.

EMPHASIS ON JULY 3

Touching upon some comparisons made in the public eye, Yılmaz stated that what is happening should not be put in the same category as the July 3 process.

Yılmaz said, “On July 3, we fought against the traitors who tried to seize our club and we succeeded. What is happening today, however, has nothing to do with the century-old institution Fenerbahçe. This incident is solely Mr. Sadettin Saran’s personal matter.”

“IT CANNOT BE ATTRIBUTED TO FENERBAHÇE”

Expressing that they are against the incident being attributed to Fenerbahçe, Yılmaz stated that their stance against those targeting the club is clear. Yılmaz emphasized that it is unacceptable for Fenerbahçe to be associated with such an event.

Addressing the Fenerbahçe community, Sait Yılmaz said that the developments might create confusion but that common sense must be maintained. “Our minds might be confused, doubts might occupy our thoughts. Even in this situation, Fenerbahçe and Fenerbahçe fans will maintain their common sense,” he stated.

Stating that members and fans will act with historical consciousness, Yılmaz said, “Our members and our great fans should rest assured. It is our primary duty to ensure that our Fenerbahçe emerges from this process with the least amount of damage. Let no one have any doubts or concerns,” he said.
