The claim made by journalist Memduh Bayraktaroğlu during a broadcast on the ZankaTV YouTube channel has caused a widespread reaction on social media.

Bayraktaroğlu sparked the debate with the words, "If Fenerbahçe becomes champion, Ali Koç will become the Chairman of the MHP."

Fenerbahçe Congress Member and Lawyer Fatih Şaşıoğlu, however, categorically denied the allegations.

Emphasizing that such statements are purely speculative, Şaşıoğlu said, "The MHP Chairmanship is a sacred duty carried out by Mr. Devlet Bahçeli. These baseless claims are devoid of political courtesy and lack any legal foundation."

Şaşıoğlu described the introduction of such claims, especially one day before a critical derby, as an attempt to "muddy the waters."

In his statement, he included the remarks, "While Fenerbahçe continues its path successfully in all competitions, the introduction of such claims is not well-intentioned. The public should not give credence to such speculation."
