George Russell wins F1 Austrian Grand Prix

The race, held at the 4.3-kilometer Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, was contested over 71 laps.

Russell, who started the race from third place, took advantage of the collision between race leader Max Verstappen and second-placed Lando Norris on the 64th lap, securing the second grand prix victory of his F1 career with a time of 1 hour 24 minutes and 22 seconds.

McLaren's Australian driver Oscar Piastri finished second, 1.906 seconds behind the leader, while Ferrari's Spanish driver Carlos Sainz took third place, 4.533 seconds back.

Following the collision, Norris was forced to retire from the race, while Verstappen, who received a 10-second penalty, finished in 5th place.

The 12th race of the season, the British Grand Prix, will be held on July 7.
