Germany will be Turkey's opponent on the court
The Turkish Women's National Basketball Team will face Germany in the 5th-8th place classification match at the 2025 FIBA Women's EuroBasket.
The Peace and Friendship Stadium in Piraeus, Greece, will host the match between Turkey and Germany on Saturday, June 28, at 14:30. If Turkey defeats Germany in this important encounter, they will face the winner of the match between Lithuania and the Czech Republic for 5th place.
Otherwise, they will compete against the loser of the same matchup for 7th place.
Competing in Group A, the national team had a difficult start to the tournament, losing their first match to France 71-69. However, they managed to advance from the group in second place by defeating Switzerland 91-67 and host nation Greece 83-72. After losing their chance at a medal following a 76-74 overtime defeat to Italy in the quarterfinals, Turkey turned its focus to the classification matches. Now, all eyes are on the result to be achieved against Germany.
