Get well soon message from TFF to Serhat Akın

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has published a get-well message for former national football player Serhat Akın, who was injured in an armed attack in Beykoz.

The message, which was posted on the TFF's website, included the following statements:

"We have learned with sadness that our former A National Team player Serhat Akın was injured in the foot as a result of an armed attack. We strongly condemn this heinous attack, convey our get-well wishes to Serhat Akın, who is currently receiving treatment in the hospital, and hope for his speedy recovery."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Former Fenerbahçe and National Team player and commentator Serhat Akın was subjected to an armed attack by an unidentified person or persons as he was leaving a program he had attended in Beykoz.

Akın, who was wounded in the foot, was taken to the hospital after receiving initial medical intervention at the scene by emergency teams.

While it was learned that Akın's health condition is good, the police have launched an investigation to apprehend the person or persons who carried out the attack.

Meanwhile, an investigation into the attack has been initiated by the Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
