Good news from Asensio ahead of the derby
Fenerbahçe has received a boost ahead of the critical derby against Galatasaray with the news of Marco Asensio's return. The star player, who had been sidelined with an injury, has begun field training.
Fenerbahçe has begun preparations for the Trendyol Süper Lig week 31 match, which they will play away against Galatasaray on Sunday, April 26.
Marco Asensio, whose status had remained uncertain due to an injury and whose participation in the derby was in question, joined the training sessions and began field work for the Yellow-Navy Blues.
The statement released by the club included the following remarks:
'In the training session held at the Fenerbahçe Can Bartu Facilities under the management of our Head Coach Domenico Tedesco, our players who played 60 minutes or more in the starting 11 against T. Konyaspor completed the day with a regeneration session. Our other players continued the training with passing drills following warm-up, agility, and coordination exercises, and concluded with individual work. Our Football Team will continue its preparations with a training session tomorrow.'
