Göztepe defeats Beşiktaş 3-1 to advance to the semi-finals

In the Ziraat Turkish Cup quarter-final match, Beşiktaş was eliminated from the tournament after losing 3-1 at home to Göztepe. Göztepe, which has won the cup twice before, reached the semi-finals for the first time in 49 years.
Tayyip Talha Sanuç was sent off with a red card in the 36th minute for denying a clear goal-scoring opportunity.
For Beşiktaş, Felix Uduokhai and Bakhtiyor Zaynutdinov were not in the squad due to injuries.
In the Göztepe squad, Djalma Silva and Isaac Solet, who are out for the season due to injuries, as well as Ahmed Ildız, were not included in the traveling party.

MASUAKU PLAYS HIS 100TH MATCH
The black-and-white team's DR Congolese player, Arthur Masuaku, played his 100th match in a Beşiktaş jersey against Göztepe.
Before the match, the club's vice president, Murat Kılıç, presented the 31-year-old left-back with the club's symbol, an "Eagle statue," and flowers.
