Guarded throughout the night: Police protection for Amedspor flag on FSM Bridge
The flag of the Diyarbakır representative Amedspor, which was promoted to the Süper Lig, was hung on the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge with the permission of the General Directorate of Highways. Police teams kept watch on the bridge throughout the night to ensure the security of the flag.
The flag of the Diyarbakır representative Amedspor, which finished the TFF 1. Lig in second place and earned the right to compete in the Süper Lig next season, was hung on the historic Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge in Istanbul.
The flag-hanging operation, carried out upon the club's request, was performed in accordance with the official permission obtained from the General Directorate of Highways.
In the letter sent to the club by the General Directorate of Highways, it was stated that the Amedspor flag could remain on the bridge for two days between the specified dates. The same letter specifically drew attention to the importance of cooperating with relevant public institutions regarding the dimensions of the flag, how it would be hung and removed, and ensuring traffic safety.
To prevent any negative incidents while the flag remained hanging on the bridge, police teams took security measures in the area throughout the night. It was reported that law enforcement officers kept watch around the FSM Bridge without interruption.
