Hacıosmanoğlu targets Fatih Terim: Who is responsible for holding people accountable?

Appearing before the press prior to the A National Team's training session at Arizona Athletic Grounds, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu apologized to the Turkish people for the defeat and stated: "I apologize to our Dear Nation for the disappointment we caused in the first match. However, when you watch the match, even if you played 3 matches, you wouldn't encounter a game like this. But this is not the first time this has happened to us. We have started with a defeat before as well. We have full faith in the boys."

“IT IS NOT DIFFICULT TO PROVIDE SUPPORT”

Hacıosmanoğlu's reaction to the criticism received by the A National Team was harsh. Describing the criticisms as "vulture-like" and "hyena-like" behavior, the President underscored the importance of social support. "Let's stop the vulture and hyena behavior. What would we lose if we supported them? We still have 2 matches ahead of us. Spain drew with Cape Verde today. Interesting results are already happening. Are they tearing Spain apart? I believe in these boys," he said, calling on both the football public and citizens to take a constructive approach.

“WHO ARE YOU GOING TO HOLD ACCOUNTABLE?”

The remarks made by experienced coach Fatih Terim about the A National Team on his YouTube channel also came to the fore. Addressing Terim, Hacıosmanoğlu said:

"I did not feel the need to call Fatih Hoca. I thank him for the beginning of his speech. But this public gave him the nickname 'Emperor.' I wish he had finished that speech in a way befitting an emperor. I couldn't make it fit him at all. I was saddened. Because if your nickname is emperor, talking about mysterious things... 'The time for me to speak will come, let's wait for 2 more matches, we will hold people accountable.' Who are you going to hold accountable? It did not suit Fatih Terim's stance or wisdom. Are you going to hold the boys accountable? Are you going to ask the technical staff, the management, or the president? Let him give notice, and we will prepare. This is not a place for holding people accountable or giving accounts. I couldn't make it fit him at all."
