Hasan Arat begins his tenure at Beşiktaş

Hasan Arat, who was elected president at the extraordinary general assembly held on June 11 at Beşiktaş, has received his certificate of election.

At the ceremony held at the Tüpraş Stadium Fashion Center, the certificate was presented to Arat by Council Board Chairman Tevfik Yamantürk and Disciplinary Board Chairman Ahmet Akpınar.

"IT WAS A MAGNIFICENT TURNOUT"

Speaking at the ceremony, Arat stated that the election is now behind them, saying, "We are a family. We made all of Turkey feel what kind of family we will be. It was a magnificent turnout. I would like to thank all the congress members and the Beşiktaş fans who followed us, on behalf of my friends and our community."

Arat thanked all the candidates who participated in the election, adding, "Supporters of the two rivals cheered together from opposite stands. This has gone down in Turkish sports history. I spoke with Serdar Adalı on the phone just a moment ago. I asked him this: 'I would like to benefit from the friends on your board of directors,' I said. He replied, 'With pleasure.' Starting today, we will hold meetings with the friends on his board. Beşiktaş is now a whole; it is now a time for embracing."

In his speech, Arat thanked the previous president, Ahmet Nur Çebi, the members of the board of directors, and their families.
