Hatayspor cruises through in the cup!
Süper Lig side Hatayspor defeated 1. Lig team Sakaryaspor 5-1 in the Ziraat Turkish Cup 5th round match, advancing to the round of 16.
In the Ziraat Turkish Cup 5th round match, Volkan Demirel's side Hatayspor faced off against Tuncay Şanlı's team Sakaryaspor. Hatayspor won the match played at Mersin Stadium with a score of 5-1.
The goals that secured the victory for Hatayspor were scored by Carlos Strandberg in the 4th, 23rd, 31st, and 90th minutes, and by Fisayo Dele-Bashiru in the 41st minute. Sakaryaspor's only goal came from Zdravko Dimitrov in the 19th minute.
Following this result, Hatayspor advanced to the round of 16 in the Ziraat Turkish Cup, while Sakaryaspor was eliminated from the tournament.
