Beşiktaş Gymnastics Club has responded to journalist Fatih Altaylı, who described manager Şenol Güneş as "behaving like a boor."

In a statement released by the club, it was noted that "Criticism is the most natural right of every media member, but while expressing his thoughts, Fatih Altaylı used ugly expressions that do not befit a member of the press and exceed the boundaries of decency," and the club announced that it would be taking legal action against Altaylı.

The statement from Beşiktaş included the following remarks:

"We strongly condemn Fatih Altaylı, who used expressions that exceeded the limits of criticism regarding our manager, Şenol Güneş, during a broadcast on his YouTube channel.

Criticism is the most natural right of every media member, but while expressing his thoughts, Fatih Altaylı used ugly expressions that do not befit a member of the press and exceed the boundaries of decency.

We hereby inform the public that we will immediately initiate legal proceedings against Fatih Altaylı for his insulting remarks regarding our manager, Şenol Güneş—whose name is always associated with success and championships—and that we will continue to do so against anyone who oversteps their bounds in the future."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Journalist Fatih Altaylı had used the following expressions on his YouTube channel regarding this action by Şenol Güneş:

"This is not Şenol Güneş's first incident. On one hand, Şenol Güneş makes strange, incomprehensible remarks with the air of a small-town philosopher and puts on a persona of being very fatherly. On the other hand, and please forgive me for this term, he continues to 'behave like a boor.'
